COOKING 101: 4th - 8th Grade

• This class is designed for your student who LOVES to help you in the kitchen.

• In Cooking 101, we will learn through demonstrations and hands-on projects. We will explore the math and science associated with cooking along with how to follow a recipe and measuring. Students will also learn about knife skills (child-safe utensils included). We will focus on proper food handling hygiene, the use of utensils/appliances, nutrition, and teamwork. During class, your child will create a tasty treat to share with their classmates.

• Lessons may include i.ngredients that contain dairy, wheat/gluten, nuts etc and due to the nature of the class (time constraints) we are not able to accommodate a secondary lesson without those ingredients.

• *Material fees will be billed once a year at $110. This fee includes not only the food but also a binder, apron, and all classroom handouts.
