IEW Intro to Public Speaking is a fun and entertaining way to introduce students to the concept of public speaking. Students will learn the basics of public speaking including 5 types of speeches, memorization, and speech delivery. We will have lots of opportunities to practice speeches in small and large group forms. This class will require some light work throughout the week in order to fully grasp the skills and techniques taught in the course. Student binder and materials will be provided. Class is designed for 6th - 8th grade students; however, 4th and 5th grade students will be allowed if parents feel that their child is capable of participating.
